Swoon worthy shower from Mandy of Ciao Darling
About a month ago I came across a gem of a blog that I immediately swoon crushed on. Mandy of Ciao Darling was featuring a bridal shower, so unique, so perfectly executed, and so so swoon worthy, I could hardly contain myself. I knew I had to share Mandy’s Moroccan Themed Bridal Shower she planned for a girlfriend. What a lucky bride!

Mandy’s friend, the bride to be, said she would like “Moroccan Wanderlust…maybe a casbah?” for her bridal shower. Mandy delivered and then some!
Here is a little info from Mandy: 20 yards of fabric, poufs, faux fur & countless pillows later…she had her casbah (with tacks, ladders & a very helpful father none the less). In our opinion, the following are required for all bridal showers:
- Champagne (mimosa bar, anyone?)
- Cupcakes (mini all the better)
- Candy bar (color coordinated…duh)
Check, check & check. The casbah was fairly easy to construct in a few hours. The main ingredient being fabric for the tent. The purple sheer curtains are from Ikea($20!) and we purchased the pink fabric in bulk from a local fabric store. I gathered extra pillows from my house, Jessi’s and the good ol’ childhood bedroom.
Luggage tags & bangles were set in with the candy bar as favors. Pink & orange take-out boxes allowed guests to pick & choose their favorite selections.
If you’re willing, drink name tags are a detail that will not go un-noticed. It saves the hassle for guests who misplace their drink (everyone does it), but more importantly saves usage of champagne flutes and therefore reduces your clean-up time. I purchased shipping tags for their vintage quality & ease in attaching to champagne flutes. Vintage postal stamps were added flair (details, details, details!).
Can you believe this is what the room looked like before??
Pretty remarkable, right???
